Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission. As a Relief or PRN Ultrasound Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic medical sonography procedures, providing high-quality exams for interpretation by a Radiologist. You will also assist in invasive procedures when ultrasound is used as a guidance tool.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic medical sonography procedures, including ultrasound exams, to provide high-quality images for interpretation by a Radiologist.
  • Assist in invasive procedures, such as biopsies and aspirations, when ultrasound is used as a guidance tool.
  • Position and transfer patients for exams, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Operate Cerner System proficiently, trouble-shooting problems with orders and making corrections within scope of user level.
  • Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of the Ultrasound Department.
  • Produce quality diagnostic ultrasound images by using proper equipment technique and technical factors.
  • Secure and restock supplies as necessary.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree or Graduate of a Technical School.
  • 1 to 2 Years of Position-Related Experience.
  • Registered as Vascular Technologist (RVT).
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer-Abdominal or OB/GYN (RDMS).
  • BCLS obtained through the American Heart Association.
