Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Construction Specialist in our U.S. Onshore Resources & Carbon Management, Rockies asset based in Platteville, Colorado. This role will provide support to the Facilities & Construction departments related to location construction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage key process metrics to promote maintenance construction efficiencies
  • Create cost projections for maintenance and facility-related projects
  • Assist engineering in equipment layout and piping design, coordinate work with operations team and other construction disciplines (Electrical, Automation)
  • Provide field oversight to ensure operational compliance with all safety-related rules and regulations, working hand-in-hand with our HSE team to promote a safety culture in the field
  • Oversee construction crews in the field and provide project guidance from start to finish
  • Develop cost estimates for maintenance and facility projects
  • Collaborate with engineering on equipment layout and piping design, and coordinate with operations and other construction teams (Electrical, Automation)
  • Ensure field compliance with safety rules and regulations alongside the HSE team, adhering to State/Local laws
Requirements
  • Understanding of process piping and production facility workflows
  • Knowledge of piping specifications and installation practices in production facilities
  • Familiarity with excavation safety and best practices
  • Oversight of field welding operations, as well as NDT and hydrotesting requirements
  • Ability to read and interpret piping and instrumentation drawings (P&IDs)
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision
  • Candidate must be self-motivated, versatile, and willing to learn
  • Candidate must be a team player and able to work on multiple assignments concurrently
Education and Relocation

High School Diploma/GED

This position is not eligible for relocation.

Travel and Work Schedule

The percentage of travel required for this position is 10-25%.

This position is eligible for the 9/80 work schedule.
