Join Our Team as a Psychiatric Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse to join our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team at Seacoast Mental Health Center, Inc. As a Psychiatric Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals with mental health conditions.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the ACT medication program, administering injections and oral medication, and assisting patients with medication planners. You will work closely with the ACT psychiatrist to assess mental status and effectiveness of medication, and provide education to patients about indications and side effects of medications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the ACT medication program and administer injections and oral medication
  • Assist patients with medication planners and coordinate with pharmacies
  • Work closely with the ACT psychiatrist to assess mental status and effectiveness of medication
  • Provide education to patients about indications and side effects of medications
  • Facilitate the delivery of medications to clients in the community
  • Monitor the documentation of all medication services
  • Assess overall physical health of patients and provide basic medical assessments and interventions
  • Provide education and information to patients, family, and staff about mental illness, medication, and physical health
  • Attend daily team meetings and weekly supervision with the ACT psychiatrist
  • Provide on-call crisis intervention and backup according to team policy
