As a Pediatric Pharmacist at Ascension Sacred Heart, you will be responsible for ensuring the appropriate selection, dosing, and dispensing of medication orders for our young patients. You will review and assess medication orders to identify, prevent, and resolve potential and actual drug-related problems. Additionally, you will recommend formulary alternatives when appropriate and compound and dispense medications for accurate delivery to patients.

You will also provide drug information and education to medical staff and patients, communicate with physicians and other clinicians as necessary to facilitate care, and oversee technical personnel who assist in the preparation, maintenance, and dispensing of medications and supplies.

Furthermore, you may assist with academic functions such as serving as a preceptor for pharmacy students and float to provide coverage of pharmacy needs.

Requirements:

* Licensure / Certification / Registration: Licensed Pharmacist credentialed from the Florida Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

* Education: Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy required.

* Additional Preferences: No additional preferences.
