Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Scala Engineer to join our team in Post Trade Solutions. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our cloud-based market infrastructure service using Scala.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop multiple components of the Equities platform, ensuring timely delivery of work items.
  • Resolve high-impact problems through in-depth evaluation of sophisticated architectures, business processes, and industry standards.
  • Serve as an advisor to develop highly resilient and future-proof solutions.
  • Contribute to research and suggest new projects for the Equities platform.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality applications.
Requirements
  • Strong experience in functional programming and object-oriented programming.
  • Deep understanding of Scala, including Akka, Play Framework, and Cats/Scalaz.
  • Experience with microservices architecture, containerized and orchestrated services using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with service mesh technologies such as Istio.
  • Knowledge of eventing and messaging infrastructure such as Kafka and MQ.
  • Experience with database management, including relational DBs and object storages.
  • Cloud architecture experience, preferably with AWS.
  • Agile ways of working, including Scrum and Kanban.

We offer a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $114,400 - $212,600, and an Annual Incentive Plan (AIP) with target rates commensurate with role level and career stage. Our benefits program includes offerings such as annual wellness allowance, paid time-off, medical, dental, vision, and 401(K) savings plan with company match.
