As a Neuro ICU Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality clinical care to patients with complex neurological conditions. We collaborate closely with our medical team, including physicians and residents, to ensure the best outcomes for our patients. The Neuroscience Service Line is committed to fostering professional development, teamwork, and growth. As an ICU Neuro Nurse, you will have the opportunity to engage in our Nursing Clinical Ladder Program, which supports continuing education, conference participation, and certification. Our Neuroscience Clinical Nurse Specialist is available to provide certification training and serve as a daily resource for our nursing staff. You will collaborate with Neuro Critical Care Practitioners, a rare opportunity in the healthcare field. POSITION SUMMARY
This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting nursing care for patients in line with organizational policies and professional nursing standards. You will be accountable for the quality of nursing services provided by yourself and those under your supervision.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs. Ensure timely completion of patient history and physical assessments.

2. Develop a personalized plan of care, including discharge planning, based on assessment data and input from patients, families, and the healthcare team. Goals should be realistic, measurable, and collaboratively established.

3. Implement the care plan through direct patient care and by coordinating, delegating, and supervising the healthcare team. Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

4. Evaluate patient and family responses to care and education, adjusting the care plan as necessary. Collaborate with the healthcare team to assess progress towards goals and expected outcomes.
