Position Overview

Role: Dentist

Location: Houghton, NY

Employment Type: Full-time, permanent (Part-time options available)

Organization: Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC)

Work Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, with no weekend duties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver essential public health services related to dental care for diverse patient populations.
  • Perform a variety of dental procedures, including tooth extractions, cavity treatments, and comprehensive dental examinations.
  • Educate patients on maintaining optimal oral hygiene practices.
  • Utilize advanced dental equipment such as mouth mirrors, forceps, scalpels, X-ray machines, drills, probes, and brushes.
Patient Demographics

The patient base primarily consists of individuals covered by Medicaid, health insurance marketplace plans, and those without insurance. Many patients may have limited access to routine dental care, making your role crucial in providing much-needed treatment and guidance.
