Job Summary

The Solar Technician 3 is a senior field position responsible for performing electrical and mechanical services. This role requires leadership and training of other field positions to ensure equipment operates at the highest level.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all equipment serviced operates at the highest level.
  • Provide leadership and training to other field positions.
  • Complete all safety training as required by the company.
  • Ensure all safety policies and procedures are reviewed and understood before work begins.
  • Oversee and provide direction to Solar Technician 1 and Solar Technician 2 working in the area.
  • Perform Preventive and Corrective Maintenance on solar, energy storage, and EV charging installations.
  • Troubleshoot solar, energy storage, and EV charging installations efficiently.
  • Complete all assigned tasks safely, correctly, and in the allotted time.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to communicate in English both orally and writing.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Basic computer operation skills and familiarity with internet-based program navigation.
  • Proven experience understanding and implementing OSHA regulations.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and understand basic design drawings and schematics.
  • Intermediate to advanced electrical theory knowledge.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to drive a vehicle.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to walk distances up to 5 miles in a day.
  • Ability to ascend or descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and the like, maintaining 3 points of contact.
