Job SummaryThe Solar Technician 3 is a senior field position responsible for performing electrical and mechanical services. This role requires leadership and training of other field positions to ensure equipment operates at the highest level.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure all equipment serviced operates at the highest level.
- Provide leadership and training to other field positions.
- Complete all safety training as required by the company.
- Ensure all safety policies and procedures are reviewed and understood before work begins.
- Oversee and provide direction to Solar Technician 1 and Solar Technician 2 working in the area.
- Perform Preventive and Corrective Maintenance on solar, energy storage, and EV charging installations.
- Troubleshoot solar, energy storage, and EV charging installations efficiently.
- Complete all assigned tasks safely, correctly, and in the allotted time.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to communicate in English both orally and writing.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Basic computer operation skills and familiarity with internet-based program navigation.
- Proven experience understanding and implementing OSHA regulations.
- Ability to read, interpret, and understand basic design drawings and schematics.
- Intermediate to advanced electrical theory knowledge.
- Ability to drive a vehicle.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to walk distances up to 5 miles in a day.
- Ability to ascend or descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and the like, maintaining 3 points of contact.
