Public Health Specialist

The United States Air Force is seeking highly skilled professionals to join our team as Public Health Officers. As a Public Health Officer, you will play a critical role in promoting health and preventing disease among our Airmen.
Key Responsibilities- Apply public health, preventive medicine, and medical entomology knowledge to promote health and reduce the incidence of communicable diseases, occupational and environmental illnesses, and injuries.
- Conduct epidemiological surveillance of health and disease trends in populations, monitor food safety practices, and sanitation levels in public and food service facilities.
- Develop and implement strategies to prevent and control disease outbreaks, and provide guidance on health promotion and disease prevention initiatives.
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or Master of Public Health degree (MPH/MSPH) from an accredited institution.
- Completion of the basic Public Health Officer (PHO) course and the Contingency Preventive Medicine (CPM) course.
- Must be between the ages of 18 and have not reached your 42nd birthday.
