**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mohs assistant to join our team at Platinum Dermatology Partners in Plano, TX. As a Mohs assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting our physicians during procedures and surgeries, ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.

**Responsibilities**

* Assist patients in preparing for exams and procedures
* Enter medical histories and prescriptions into our electronic medical record system
* Assist physicians during procedures and surgeries
* Prepare and collect path/lab specimens
* Educate patients and respond to patient questions in the office or over the phone as needed
* Document all medical instructions given to patients
* Clean and organize exam rooms, prepare procedure trays, clean and autoclave instruments, and stock supplies
* Fulfill responsibilities as assigned by providers and management

**Qualifications**

* Medical assistant or dermatology technician certification required
* Prior Mohs experience is required
* Knowledge of general Mohs procedures and treatment
* Quality written and verbal communication skills
* Knowledgeable of medical dermatology terms/CPT, ICD-10
* Professional in appearance and mannerisms
* Able to demonstrate compassion and caring in dealing with others, patients and co-workers alike
* Able to prioritize tasks, understand the providers instructions, and know when to seek information or advice
* Valid Driver's License
