Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Relief Veterinarian to join our team at Advanced Pet Care. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, leading by example, and contributing to the growth and success of our practice.

Responsibilities
  • Hospital Operations & Financial Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the hospital, including patient care, facility maintenance, and financial management.
  • Leadership & Strategic Planning: Provide strong leadership and motivation to the veterinary team, guiding them towards quality patient care and practice goals.
  • Client Services & Compliance: Ensure high-quality client and personal services, address client needs and complaints, and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Team Supervision & Development: Directly supervise veterinary team members, including interviewing, hiring, and training, and develop and coach team members for quality patient care and client service.
  • Mentorship & Coaching: Mentor and coach veterinary team members on necessary technical and functional skills, and facilitate onboarding and mentorship for new hires.
  • Leadership & Conflict Resolution: Provide leadership through consensus building, serve as a role model, and facilitate conflict resolution.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school.
  • Licensed to practice veterinary medicine in California.
  • DEA License in good standing and if applicable or required State Controlled Substance License.
  • Experience in supervising and managing a veterinary healthcare team and a track record in providing education and training.
  • Demonstrates excellent time and task management skills.
  • Demonstrates professional and respectful presentation with veterinary team and clients.
