As a Gastroenterology Technician at Avera, you will be part of a rewarding team providing outstanding care to a variety of patients. You will gain hands-on experience in healthcare working alongside other healthcare professionals who are passionate about creating a positive impact.

The Gastroenterology Technician performs duties relative to patient care, responding and assisting the Gastroenterologist and Registered Nurse during the pre-procedure, procedure, or post-procedure period. This position will assist with procedure room set-up, scope cleaning and maintenance, as well as entering and maintaining inventory control.

Education and/or Experience:

• Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
• Six months to one year medical experience and/or training

Required to complete the SGNA GI Associates program and receive the certificate of completion within 18 months of employment. On-the-job training will be provided.

Varied Shifts, 7:00am-4:30pm, occasional weekend/holiday/call; 72 hours every 2 weeks. Approximately 1 out of every 10 weekends and 1 holiday every other year.

The hourly range for this position is $25.75 per hour, dependent on experience.
