Position Overview:
The Graduate Quantitative Fellow (GQF) role is available within the Department of Mathematics at Bridgewater State University. This position is designed to provide essential support to students requiring assistance in mathematics, statistics, and quantitative analysis across a variety of academic fields.
- Allocate 10 hours weekly to assist graduate students with their quantitative analysis projects.
- Commit 2 hours each week at the College of Graduate Studies to aid students from diverse educational backgrounds.
- Facilitate student support through teleconferencing, email interactions, and organized workshops.
- Deliver guidance in quantitative reasoning through newsletters, workshops, and classroom engagements.
- Engage in monthly training sessions coordinated by the Graduate Writing/Quantitative Fellowship Program.
Required Qualifications:
- Enrollment in at least 6 graduate credits per semester.
- Proven proficiency in mathematics, statistics, and quantitative reasoning.
- Experience with mathematical and statistical software tools (e.g., Mathematica, MATLAB, SPSS, R).
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
