Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at ChristianaCare. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our pharmacy team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enter patient information and prescription orders into our dispensing system, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Coordinate refills and navigate prescription insurance coverage to successfully adjudicate claims.
  • Manage inventory, storage, and purchasing of specialty medications to ensure drug availability and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct temperature monitoring for cold chain distribution products and proactively coordinate medication shipments to prevent lapses in medication therapy.
  • Package and ship specialty medications to patients in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring drug integrity and proper packaging materials.
  • Triage and coordinate patient and caregiver needs to escalate issues to the appropriate clinical or non-clinical resources.
  • Develop relationships with patients and their caregivers to provide an exceptional and engaging experience.
  • Coordinate with our clinical and operations teams to achieve program goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associates or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification required.
  • At least 3 years of outpatient or specialty pharmacy experience preferred.
