The American Automobile Association is seeking a skilled Claims Service Representative to join our team. As a key member of our claims department, you will be responsible for investigating, evaluating, and negotiating claims in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate with insureds, claimants, and witnesses to gather information and resolve claims.
- Explain benefits, coverages, and claims processes to ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements.
- Conduct investigations to determine liability and damages, and evaluate claim values based on property, bodily injury, and liability data.
- Negotiate settlements with insureds and claimants to resolve first- and third-party claims.
- Handle administrative tasks, update databases, and document claims files using company systems.
- Verify and interpret coverage to ensure policy applicability, and coordinate with internal and external departments as needed.
Requirements:
- 4-year college degree or equivalent combination of education and/or 2-3 years of casualty work experience.
- Computer and line of business technical software skills required.
- General knowledge of negligence and subrogation principles required.
- Advanced organization, planning, oral, and written communication skills required.
- Advanced interpersonal skills required.
