Claims Service Representative

The American Automobile Association is seeking a skilled Claims Service Representative to join our team. As a key member of our claims department, you will be responsible for investigating, evaluating, and negotiating claims in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with insureds, claimants, and witnesses to gather information and resolve claims.
  • Explain benefits, coverages, and claims processes to ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements.
  • Conduct investigations to determine liability and damages, and evaluate claim values based on property, bodily injury, and liability data.
  • Negotiate settlements with insureds and claimants to resolve first- and third-party claims.
  • Handle administrative tasks, update databases, and document claims files using company systems.
  • Verify and interpret coverage to ensure policy applicability, and coordinate with internal and external departments as needed.

Requirements:

  • 4-year college degree or equivalent combination of education and/or 2-3 years of casualty work experience.
  • Computer and line of business technical software skills required.
  • General knowledge of negligence and subrogation principles required.
  • Advanced organization, planning, oral, and written communication skills required.
  • Advanced interpersonal skills required.
