Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Methods Engineer to join our team at Collins Aerospace. As a key member of our Advanced Structures team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise in manufacturing areas to plan, design, set up, modify, optimize, and monitor manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support in manufacturing areas to ensure efficient and effective production processes
  • Maintain continuous process improvement with safe work practices to reduce cost, improve quality, and increase throughput
  • Comply with EH&S and government regulations, manufacturing information, and records
  • Support and participate in Continues Improvements (C.I.) Events and ACE activities
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including meeting all requirements under ITAR and CGD
Requirements
  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations
  • 3 or more years' experience in manufacturing - Surface Finishing, Machining, Paint, and Assembly
  • 3 or more years analyzing and interpreting engineering drawings, general business, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • 3 or more years' experience using C.I. tools with the ability to analyze and improve processes to reduce cost
  • 3 or more years' experience using CAD software
Preferred Qualifications
  • Six Sigma and/or ACE Associate training would also be considered an asset
  • 3 or more years presenting information and responding to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers
  • 3 or more years writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Current or previous experience with SAP
