Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner - Psychiatry to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this pivotal role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with patients, families, and colleagues to develop comprehensive treatment plans, prescribe medication when necessary, and teach health promotion and disease prevention strategies.

Responsibilities
  • Perform general evaluations for mental and medical health status, including intake assessments and diagnostic procedures as needed.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans in collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Prescribe medication and ensure timely follow-up appointments to monitor patient progress.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records, adhering to departmental standards and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of California.
  • Master's degree in Nursing or related field from an accredited institution.
  • At least 2 years of experience in psychiatric nursing, preferably in an outpatient setting.
