Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and dynamic Permanent Plant Controller to oversee the financial operations within the manufacturing sector. This role will involve managing all financial, accounting, and cost-related activities of the plant. The ideal candidate will serve as a strategic partner to the management team, offering financial insights and guidance to support informed business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all financial functions of the plant, including budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
- Develop and execute financial strategies aimed at cost reduction and operational efficiency.
- Monitor plant assets, revenues, and expenditures to achieve financial objectives.
- Apply Lean Accounting and Six Sigma methodologies to improve financial performance and operational processes.
- Establish and oversee cost accounting systems to ensure accurate product costing and inventory management.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, providing in-depth analysis of plant performance.
- Collaborate with corporate finance to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Optimize inventory management processes to minimize waste.
- Work with the management team on capital expenditure projects, providing financial analysis and recommendations.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory standards and requirements.
- Implement and manage SAP systems to enhance financial reporting and control.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; MBA is preferred.
- CPA or CMA certification is required.
- At least 5 years of experience in a plant controller or similar financial role within the manufacturing sector.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting and financial management principles.
- Proven experience in strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Familiarity with Lean Accounting and Six Sigma practices.
- Proficient in SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
- Demonstrated ability to enhance financial performance and make strategic decisions based on financial data.
