**Job Description**

We are seeking a highly experienced Advanced Financial Analyst to join our remote team. This individual will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance, and generating detailed financial reports for our nonprofit and government contracting clients. The ideal candidate is proficient in both Xero and QuickBooks Online and has extensive experience in NonProfit Accounting and Government Contracting Accounting (DCAA).

**Responsibilities**

  • **Full-Cycle Bookkeeping**: Perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and expense tracking.
  • **Financial Statement Preparation**: Utilize Xero and QuickBooks Online to manage all financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • **NonProfit and Government Contracting Accounting**: Manage bookkeeping for nonprofit clients, including tracking donations, grants, and restricted funds, preparing statements of financial position, and ensuring compliance with FASB standards. Ensure DCAA compliance by maintaining accurate cost accounting standards, preparing indirect rate structures, and supporting audits.
  • **Month-End and Year-End Close**: Execute complete month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciling accounts, preparing journal entries, and generating financial statements.
  • **Financial Reporting and Analysis**: Generate and review financial reports, conducting financial reporting reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Provide financial insights and recommendations for improvements.
  • **Client Collaboration**: Collaborate with team members and clients to ensure all financial matters are handled efficiently. Provide exceptional client service and support.

**Qualifications**

  • Proven experience as a financial analyst, with advanced proficiency in Xero and QuickBooks Online.
  • Strong understanding of NonProfit Accounting, including FASB standards and donor restrictions.
  • Extensive experience with Government Contracting Accounting (DCAA), including compliance, cost accounting standards, and contract billing.
  • Experience performing month-end and year-end duties, including financial report generation and reviews.
  • Familiarity with Unanet is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or similar certification preferred.
