Position Overview

We are seeking a full-time Surgery Registered Veterinary Technician/Veterinary Technician to deliver outstanding care to our animal patients. In this position, you will work closely with the healthcare team and assist in a range of surgical procedures.

Key Qualifications

  • Possession of a California RVT license
  • At least 1 year of experience in Anesthesia
  • Expertise in safe animal handling and restraint techniques
  • Skilled in IV catheter placement and venipuncture
  • Experience in preoperative anesthesia planning
  • Knowledge of drug dosage calculations
  • Competence in intubation and airway management
  • Ability to maintain appropriate sedation and anesthesia levels
  • Understanding of mechanical ventilator operations
  • Willingness to learn arterial catheterization
  • Capability in locoregional anesthesia techniques
  • Proficiency in administering constant rate infusions
  • Ability to interpret physiological parameters
  • Skills in post-operative care and pain management
  • Familiarity with basic and advanced life support protocols
  • Experience in maintaining and cleaning surgical equipment
  • Availability for weekend and holiday shifts
