Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist Position

We are seeking a skilled Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team at Mental Health Cooperative. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide psychiatric services to individuals across our agency, evaluating and diagnosing patients in an outpatient setting, face-to-face and/or by telehealth.
Responsibilities- Evaluate and diagnose individuals with psychiatric emergent/urgent or routine conditions in an outpatient setting, face-to-face and/or by telehealth.
- Determine pharmacological treatment for patients, including prescribing medications using InfoScriber, and provide follow-up care.
- Facilitate admitting patients to the hospital or respite and consult with MCRT when needed.
- Supervise Nurse Practitioner and/or residents as assigned.
- Coordinate medical aspects of treatment with Nurses, Care Management Supervisor, and Care Managers.
- Participate and provide supervision of multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and provide consultation by phone when needed.
- Maintain an active role in treatment team and consult with outside Physicians regarding care managed consumers as necessary.
- Tennessee Licensed Psychiatrist
- Board Eligible/Board Certified
- Valid Tennessee Driver's License
- Acceptable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
- Acceptable Criminal Background Investigation
- Personal Automobile Insurance
We are looking for a collaborative spirit to coordinate medical treatments with Nurses and Care Management. A deep knowledge in therapeutic interventions, including diagnostic assessment, medication evaluation and management, suicide risk assessments, crisis intervention, and overall care of patients with psychiatric disorders is essential. A mental health team leader that leads others towards excellence in care is also required. Ability to maintain an active role in treatment plan, including patient follow-up, and solid relationship building skills to cultivate trust with teams, Physicians, and Consumers are necessary.
