We are seeking a skilled Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team at Athena Care Inc. in Tennessee. Our organization provides comprehensive mental health services to children, adolescents, and adults across middle Tennessee.
Job SummaryThe Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist will specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of behavioral and mental health disorders for children and adolescents in a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate patients and diagnose mental and affective conditions using current best practices and standards.
- Develop treatment plans and determine necessary medication or other resources/treatment needed according to patient needs.
- Educate guardians on supporting patients and collaborate/consult with other members of the patient's care team.
- Document services provided in the electronic medical record (EMR) consistent with standards of practice, internal policies of Athena Care Inc., and HIPAA or other regulatory requirements.
- Maintain appropriate licensure, supervision, and continuing education requirements in a manner consistent with standards of practice.
- Stay up-to-date with current standards of care and research in the field, applying knowledge to improve practice and provision of care.
- Adhere to appropriate practice guidelines in the provision of care.
- Be eligible to participate in commercial insurance networks and Medicare.
- Medical degree and successful completion of residency and fellowship required.
- Current, valid medical license issued by the state of TN required.
- Current, valid DEA registration required.
- Board certified or board eligible by American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology with subspecialty in child and adolescent psychiatry required.
