Job Summary

Amentum is seeking a highly skilled Construction Surveillance Technician to join our team. As a Construction Surveillance Technician, you will be responsible for observing, inspecting, and reporting on construction site work to ensure the integrity of technical and physical security of multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct site visits to inspect construction sites and ensure compliance with security protocols.
  • Evaluate and develop physical, personnel, and technical security practices and procedures for various levels of defense-in-depth security postures.
  • Produce written reports using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to document activities, processes, investigations, anomalies, incidents, and Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705 standards.
  • Identify unauthorized materials using physical searches, personnel searches, and technological tools.
  • Evaluate methods used to place technical penetrations or unauthorized materials by utilizing surveillance techniques, observing, and reporting.
  • Operate technical security devices and systems proficiently to operate as an individual or with a team in OCONUS and CONUS mission environments.
  • Report suspicious behavior, security infractions, and correlations between site blueprints and ICD 705 standards to highlight anomalous behavior.
Requirements
  • Active Top Secret Clearance at minimum at the time of application and willingness to upgrade.
  • Prior experience with Microsoft Office programs, report development, tablet mechanics, blueprint reading, and construction projects.
  • Background in providing security practices such as executive protection, physical security, personnel security, site security, and surveillance.
  • Willingness and ability to work OCONUS missions for a minimum of 6 months within a calendar year and support CONUS missions within all 50 States.
  • Ability to obtain weapons qualification to meet customer standards.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior military experience (MOS to include MSG, Infantry, Technical Surveillance, Construction, Security Protection Details) and ability to read blueprints, develop, implement, and follow physical and site security practices/procedures.
  • Construction knowledge, including blueprint reading, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, concrete, and finishing work.
  • Comprehension of blueprint reading and ability to identify discrepancies in coordination with the ICD 705 to ensure SCIF construction is upheld to the highest standard.
  • Familiarity with Auto CAD to understand the different phases of construction.
  • OCONUS experience and current passport.
  • Working knowledge of construction safety, construction project cycles, and common nomenclature of materials.
