Role Overview
The Pharmacy Support Specialist will serve as a crucial link among patients, healthcare providers, and pharmacists. This position requires a compassionate individual with outstanding customer service abilities, excellent communication skills, and prior experience in team management. Demonstrating empathy towards our patients during phone interactions is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with patients to assist and remind them in securing medication refills from their chosen pharmacies, whether retail, independent, or mail-order.
- Collaborate with care teams to identify and address any obstacles that may hinder patients from obtaining their refills.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
We are looking for enthusiastic and qualified candidates who possess:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a retail pharmacy setting.
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) is mandatory.
- A high school diploma is required.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is preferred (medical Spanish is advantageous).
- Previous experience in team leadership is preferred.
- Proficient knowledge of MS Office and Google documents/spreadsheets.
- Authorization to work in the US.
