Job Summary

CSL is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Screener to join our team. As a Medical Screener, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our donors by conducting thorough health screenings and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct health screenings on donors, including assessing self-administered health history, answering medical questions, and performing health screening procedures such as blood pressure, pulse, weight, and temperature.
  • Assist donors in completing the screening process, ensuring all necessary information is collected and recorded accurately.
  • Provide education to new donors on the use of therapeutic products made from donated plasma, including explaining the screening process, health screening tests, and center policies.
  • Register and transfer donors based on completion of training and operational needs of the center.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to donor inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Monitor donor flow and alert Group Leaders or Supervisors of any issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of donor data in the electronic donor information management system.
  • Understand and adhere to policies and procedures associated with hyper immune programs at the center.
  • Ensure a clean and efficient work environment, maintaining sufficient operating supplies and forms as needed.
  • Promote safety in all actions and maintain confidentiality of personnel, donor, and center information.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of three (3) months experience in a clerical or customer service related position, preferably in a medical or health provider environment.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations.
  • Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written instructions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Occasional lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds.
Working Conditions

Candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. The position requires occasional lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds. Candidates must also be able to see and speak with customers and observe equipment operation.
