Gastroenterology Associates of the Piedmont PA is a leading gastroenterology practice in the Piedmont Triad area, dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and a positive work environment.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) to join our team. As a CMA or RMA, you will play a vital role in delivering quality clinical care to patients, working closely with our experienced providers and staff.

Responsibilities
  • Obtain, verify, and record patient health history and specimens for laboratory analysis.
  • Provide basic patient care as ordered, administer medications and treatments as directed.
  • Capture and record date of last colonoscopy or lack of.
  • Document care provided or procedures performed accurately on patient records.
  • Assist other healthcare professionals in performing exams, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.
  • Adhere to infection control/safety guidelines and confidentiality policies.
  • Participate in implementing the plan of care per provider orders.
  • Follow set protocols/standing orders/algorithms/decision trees established by the physician.
  • Document interventions, patient/family responses, medication dispensed/prescribed, and test results in medical records.
  • Promote wellness by providing patient education materials and communicating physician advice/instructions.
Requirements
  • Certified or registered in North Carolina.
  • Experience preferred, but not required.
  • Broad knowledge of clinical functions and ability to apply clinical skills and techniques.
  • BLS certification required.
