Job Overview

As a Field Engineer Intern, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for delivering construction projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will assist project managers, engineers, and other staff members in applying principles, methods, and techniques of engineering technology at various project locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with evaluating field conditions and acceptance testing
  • Support quality assurance and quality control engineering materials testing
  • Apply survey knowledge to assist with project layout and checking of work to confirm it conforms to plans and specifications
  • Review project drawings and coordinate any design changes
  • Provide document control assistance for correspondence, submittals, design releases, etc.
  • Initiate engineering design clarifications
  • Perform quantity tracking and productivity analysis for maximization of operation efficiency
  • Assist with preparing and updating project schedules and interact with all involved in scheduling decision processes
  • Respond to field for design clarification, manage subcontractors' field operations, and verify contract payments
  • Provide design assistance to the project engineer for the design of temporary structures using computer-aided design tools
Requirements
  • You must be currently enrolled in an engineering, construction management, or similar undergraduate program at an accredited technical college or university

Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this position is $47,000 - $58,500 (USD), depending on location and experience. The hourly rate ranges from $23.00 to $27.00 per hour.
