Job Summary:
Western Alliance Bank is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineering Leadership Position to lead the development and implementation of our enterprise data platform. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining a scalable and secure data platform that meets the needs of our business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of data engineers in the design, development, and implementation of our enterprise data platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and develop data solutions that meet those needs.
- Design and implement data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes to support business intelligence and analytics.
- Develop and maintain data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality and security.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in data engineering and apply that knowledge to improve our data platform.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
- 8+ years' experience with data engineering, including experience with data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes.
- 5+ years' experience leading teams or complex data projects.
- Expert level experience with at least one RDBMS and query language such as T-SQL, PL/SQL, Spark SQL.
- Intermediate level experience in conceptual, logical, and physical data design.
- Certifications within Azure such as Azure Fundamentals, Azure Data Engineer, Azure Data Scientist, and/or Azure DevOps Engineer.
