  • Conduct general cost accounting and related tasks within the finance department.
  • Compile and maintain a comprehensive database of cost information.
  • Establish systems and procedures for cost accumulation and accounting functions.
  • Analyze fixed costs, including salaries, rent, and insurance.
  • Forecast and document variable costs, such as raw material purchases and labor expenses.
  • Examine actual costs to identify discrepancies and inaccuracies.
  • Prepare departmental and organization-wide budgeting reports.
  • Analyze and report on actual profit margins.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Recommend cost-effective solutions based on financial analysis.
  • Provide product cost information for general accounting purposes.
  • Generate periodic balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
  • Maintain the integrity of the general ledger.
  • Process invoices, set up new accounts, and reconcile accounts.
  • Reconcile bank accounts monthly and address inquiries from financial institutions.
  • Manage accounts receivable collections and customer account reconciliations.
  • Verify invoice payments related to accounts payable.
  • Assist external auditors by providing necessary documentation for annual audits.
  • File required tax documentation with governmental agencies.
  • Collaborate with software consultants to maintain and enhance accounting software.
  • Ensure a safe and organized work environment.
  • Foster professional interactions and teamwork.
  • Work additional hours as necessary.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting with two to four years of relevant experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial and cost accounting principles.

  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
