The Graphic Design Instructor reports to the Business and Technology Department Chair or designee. Key responsibilities include:

  • Participating in professional development activities to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Maintaining inventory of equipment and supplies.
  • Collaborating with administrative functions to support the college's mission.
  • Recruiting and advising students.
Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for this position, applicants must possess:

  • An Associate's degree from an accredited college.
  • Five years of recent experience in the field and/or relevant teaching experience.
  • Ability to understand teaching and evaluation methodologies.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Sensitivity to diverse student needs.
  • Ability to plan, schedule, and manage projects.
Preferred Qualifications

Preferred candidates will have:

  • A Master's degree in fine arts (MFA) or master's degree in graphic design or visual design (MA).
  • Experience with InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
Essential Job Functions

The Graphic Design Instructor will:

  • Educate students using accepted instructional methodologies.
  • Teach courses as assigned, instruct, and evaluate students.
  • Participate in professional development activities.
  • Assess, update, and maintain program curriculum.
  • Advise and recruit students.
  • Complete administrative responsibilities by required deadlines.
