Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical assistance with performing diagnostic and interventional procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.
  • Acquire and process imaging data, utilizing advanced technology to improve diagnostic quality and therapeutic outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other caregivers to ensure seamless patient care, working effectively in a team-based culture.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of primary purpose of drugs used in IR, indications, contraindications, contrast drug interactions, and major effects.
  • Position patients to obtain radiographic exposure, adjust exposure factors, and process images, ensuring optimal diagnostic quality.
  • Acquire, archive, transmit, and print images via PACS, maintaining accurate and timely documentation.
  • Provide after-hours standby call-in service, ensuring continuous patient care and support.
  • Monitor equipment, systems, and clean equipment, reporting malfunctions and ensuring timely repair.
  • Teach and instruct students and new hires, promoting knowledge sharing and professional growth.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
  • Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), in good standing.
  • Certification in Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography (R.T.(R)(CV)(ARRT)) or Vascular-Interventional Radiology (R.T.(R)(VI)(ARRT)) preferred.
  • Current state licensure (RL) required prior to employment.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
