Role Summary
The Department of Biology at North Carolina A&T State University is seeking applications for a tenure-track faculty role in the domain of Neurobiology or Neuroscience. This position is anticipated to commence at the assistant professor level, with the possibility of a higher rank for exceptionally qualified candidates.
Key Responsibilities
The selected individual will be expected to:
- Establish a collaborative and innovative research agenda focused on neurological disorders, particularly those associated with aging.
- Engage in culturally responsive teaching and deliver Biology courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Develop and enhance curricula, guide students in research endeavors, and contribute to the University and community service.
- Secure external funding and oversee the research activities of graduate students in applied biological sciences.
- Mentor undergraduate students and promote the mission of the Biology Department.
- Collaborate with colleagues across various scientific disciplines.
