Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and resolve Oracle database performance issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify root causes.
  • Partner with developers to propose SQL enhancements for improved performance, including index recommendations and avoidance of Cartesian products.
  • Utilize RMAN for Oracle database backups and recoveries, including successful recovery operations.
  • Upgrade and patch Oracle Database software in Unix-like environments, including full RAC cluster upgrades with Data Guard integration.
  • Install Oracle Database software in Unix-like environments, involving complete RAC cluster setups with Data Guard implementation.
  • Work with Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control 13 or above and GoldenGate within an Oracle database ecosystem.
  • Stay up-to-date with Oracle 10g or newer technologies and best practices.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle 10g or newer databases.
  • Proven track record of successful database performance optimization and recovery operations.
  • Oracle 10g or newer Certified Professional (OCP) accreditation.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
