Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medical Intensive Care Unit team at AdventHealth Daytona Beach. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, and promoting a culture of safety and excellence within the unit.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that address the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients.
  • Monitor and report patient lab work and other diagnostic results to the responsible physician and obtain appropriate interventions.
  • Develop and implement education plans for patients and families, including discharge instructions and follow-up care.
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote a culture of safety and excellence.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a minimum of an Associate of Science degree or diploma.
  • Active Florida RN license or active multi-state RN license.
  • Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Current AHA Advanced Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Ability to use a high level of abstract reasoning to assess patient, evaluate interventions, and revise plan of care according to patient outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's of Science degree in Nursing (BSN).
  • National certification in areas of practice (e.g. CCRN).
  • Member of national professional organization.
