SUMMARY/OBJECTIVES
The Branch Operations Leader is tasked with guiding and mentoring the branch team while managing the administration and coordination of sales and service functions within the branch. This role is crucial in ensuring adherence to operational and security protocols, as well as being responsible for the overall financial performance of the branch by effectively managing income and minimizing losses.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Monitors progress towards branch lending and deposit targets, initiating strategies to achieve these goals.
- Develops strategic plans and expectations for the branch, including sales objectives.
- Exemplifies leadership by setting a standard for staff to emulate, fostering excellent customer relations and effective sales techniques.
- Oversees daily staff performance, influencing decisions related to employment, evaluations, promotions, and terminations.
- Guides each team member in establishing personal goals, clearly communicating expectations, and providing coaching for success.
- Directs the recruitment, training, and ongoing development of branch personnel, focusing on operations, product knowledge, and customer service.
- Conducts regular team meetings to review sales strategies, product offerings, policies, and compliance regulations.
- Ensures branch security measures are followed and understands the operation of security systems to protect against criminal activities.
- Complies with audit procedures, utilizing specialist visits for branch evaluations.
- Delivers prompt, accurate, and confidential service to customers, making informed recommendations based on their needs.
- Processes loan applications within lending authority, extending credit to qualified clients through various financial products.
- Manages exceptions related to loans and deposits in alignment with company standards.
- Facilitates the opening of new deposit accounts and maintains knowledge of financial services, including features, regulations, and pricing.
- Addresses customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism, viewing them as opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction and promote additional services.
- Engages in community business development activities to foster and maintain client relationships.
- Communicates bank objectives, policies, and programs to staff, ensuring effective implementation.
- Monitors branch resources and submits requests to enhance operational efficiency.
- Ensures compliance with all banking regulations.
- Presents a professional appearance and maintains an organized work environment.

Excellent communication, planning, and decision-making skills are essential. Must be willing to travel and capable of standing or sitting for extended periods. Ability to interpret information on computer screens and documents is required.
