Position Overview:

Under the guidance of an Area Manager, the Mortgage Consultant plays a crucial role in providing expert advice to both new and existing clients regarding residential mortgage options sourced from various channels, including real estate agents, builders, and other innovative platforms.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Advocates for Prosperity Home Mortgage and its diverse range of products and services.
  • Establishes and sustains a prominent presence for Prosperity Home Mortgage within the community.
  • Informs potential and current clients about Prosperity's offerings, interest rates, policies, and procedures.
  • Evaluates comprehensive financial and credit information; suggests suitable loan alternatives based on client requirements.
  • Secures residential first mortgages for Prosperity while complying with all organizational policies and regulatory standards.
  • Processes customer applications, provides rate and point quotes, and manages follow-up actions related to loan registration.
  • Supports both new and existing clients by coordinating with processing and closing departments to ensure timely and accurate loan closures; tracks loan progress and ensures all necessary documentation is complete.
  • Sets clear expectations regarding the loan process by detailing company policies, procedures, and underwriting criteria; keeps clients informed about loan status.
  • Aims to meet personal production and service targets; contributes to the overall market share and profitability of the branch.
  • Adheres to company standards for quality, precision, and compliance.
  • Follows industry regulations, requirements, and applicable state/federal laws relevant to job responsibilities.
  • Participates in all necessary mortgage product and sales training sessions.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or a comparable combination of education and experience.
  • Proven experience in Mortgage Sales/Origination.
  • Proficient in utilizing social media platforms.
  • Extensive experience with telephone and email communications.
  • Possession of relevant licenses.
  • Willingness to travel within the local area.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
Compensation: The position offers an hourly wage of $17.75 along with a competitive commission structure.
