Position Overview:

Under the general guidance of an Area Manager, the Mortgage Consultant plays a pivotal role in providing expert advice to both new and existing clients regarding residential mortgage options sourced from various channels, including real estate agents, builders, and other innovative platforms.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Advocates for Prosperity Home Mortgage and its comprehensive range of products and services.
  • Establishes and sustains a prominent presence for Prosperity Home Mortgage within the industry.
  • Informs potential and current clients about Prosperity's offerings, including programs, rates, policies, and procedures.
  • Evaluates intricate financial and credit information; suggests suitable loan alternatives tailored to client requirements.
  • Secures residential first mortgages for Prosperity while complying with all internal policies and regulatory standards.
  • Processes customer applications, provides rate and point quotes, and manages follow-up actions for registration lock-in.
  • Supports both new and existing clients by coordinating with processing and closing teams to ensure efficient and accurate loan closures; tracks loan progress and guarantees complete documentation for internal processing.
  • Sets realistic expectations regarding the loan process by elucidating company policies, procedures, and underwriting criteria; communicates loan progress to clients.
  • Aims to meet personal production and service objectives; contributes to the overall market share and profitability of the branch.
  • Adheres to company standards for quality, precision, and fall-out.
  • Complies with industry regulations, requirements, and applicable state/federal laws related to job responsibilities.
  • Participates in all necessary mortgage product and sales training sessions.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or a comparable mix of education and experience.
  • Proven experience in Mortgage Sales/Origination.
  • Proficient in utilizing social media platforms.
  • Extensive experience with telephone and email communications.
  • Possession of relevant licenses.
  • Willingness to travel within the local area.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
Compensation: The hourly rate is set at $17.75, supplemented by a competitive commission structure.
