Position Overview

As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will provide essential support to patients in a variety of clinical settings. Your role will involve assisting with both basic medical tasks and personal care, ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality of attention and service.

Department:
Acute Rehabilitation and Medical Surgical Services

Work Schedule:
Evening shifts, 36 hours per week, with responsibilities including weekend and holiday coverage.

Key Responsibilities

1. Conduct fundamental clinical and non-clinical patient care activities under the guidance of nursing staff.
2. Facilitate patient admissions and discharges.
3. Assist patients with personal hygiene and daily living activities.
4. Monitor and report any changes in patients' physical, mental, or emotional states to the nursing team. Maintain accurate documentation.
5. Ensure cleanliness and organization of patient rooms and upkeep of medical equipment.

Qualifications

Licensure / Certification:
1. BLS Provider certification required within one month of hire.
2. Certification as a Nurse Aide from the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry required prior to employment.
3. Certified Nursing Assistant credential from the state of Wisconsin is necessary for hospital employment.

Education:
High School diploma or equivalent, or one year of relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience as a CNA in long-term care or acute care settings is advantageous. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to manage complex medical assignments, work effectively in a collaborative environment, and possess strong communication skills.
