Job Summary

This position requires a highly skilled and safety-conscious individual to operate various pieces of equipment, including draglines, crushers, and loaders, in a multi-tasking environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining consistent production levels, performing routine maintenance tasks, and identifying problems with the material being mined for quality. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aggregate operations, with a focus on dragline maintenance and repair skills.

Responsibilities
  • Operate aggregate equipment safely and efficiently, including draglines, crushers, and loaders.
  • Conduct pre-operational inspections of all equipment being operated to identify any safety hazards or maintenance requirements.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with supervisors, customers, and coworkers to ensure a smooth operation.
  • Comply with operating practices and procedures, safety rules, and regulations per MSHA regulations.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on the dragline and all other aggregate equipment, including lubrication, inspection, and minor repairs.
  • Successfully complete and maintain Method 9 Emissions certification.
  • Other job duties as assigned.
Requirements/Qualifications
  • High school diploma/GED
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in dragline operations
  • Valid Arizona Driver's License and reliable transportation to work
  • Current MSHA Training Certification
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work extended hours, including weekends
  • Knowledge and experience in the operation and maintenance of crushers, wash plants, conveyors, material washers, and various other types of fixed and mobile equipment used in the aggregate industry
  • Knowledge of the equipment and methods used in the production process, and related aspects of materials storage, handling, and distribution of aggregates
  • Experience as a heavy equipment operator, including loaders, bulldozers, off-road trucks, and excavators
Physical Requirements

Able to lift and/or move 75 pounds on a routine basis, and 100 pounds on an occasional basis. Able to stand, walk, climb, bend, stretch, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, drive, ride, twist, push/pull of controls, and ride on rough terrain. Able to work in wet and/or dry conditions and extreme heat or cold.

Conditions of Employment

Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Will be subject to company required drug and alcohol testing program.
