Job Overview:
CenterLight Health System seeks a highly skilled Regional Medical Director to oversee the professional, organizational, and administrative aspects of providing quality medical care to patients. This role is responsible for leading a team of healthcare professionals in delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Schedule: 8:00AM - 5:00PM, Weekly Hours: 40

Responsibilities:
• Serve as the Regional Medical Director for assigned Diagnostic and Treatment Centers (DTC).
• Direct medical care and treatment patients and have primary medical responsibility in overseeing and supporting the care rendered by other members of the interdisciplinary care team.
• Develops and supervises the provision of ambulatory medical services.
• Be available for the interdisciplinary team and site directors when needs arise.
• Participates in multidisciplinary team activities, which may include case conferences, hospitalization reports, family and team meetings.
• Provide oversight on the medical practice by promoting a balanced approach between evidence-based medicine and the participant baseline conditions and values.
• Ensure appropriate staffing and providers coverage for all sites needs.
• Share insight and participate in annual performance appraisal activities.
• Lead educational and professional development activities.
• Support the process of recruiting, hiring and onboarding new providers.
• Supervise the call schedule development and ensure adequate providers staffing across all sites.
• Annually reviews policies and procedures.
• Develops policies and procedures governing patient care in accordance with generally accepted standards of professional practice.
• Have a good understanding of population health and managed care principles.
• Identifies opportunities and develops programs to improve quality of care.
• Supervises the sites Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) program.
• Provides oversight on providers performance as it relates to quality, cost and utilization.
• Be patient centric and ensure sensitivity to the consumer/participant needs and experience in any product development or program roll out.
• Provide episodic care and care planning clinical coverage when needs arise.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team activities, which may include case conferences, hospitalization reports and family and team meetings when needed.
• Build positive alliances with the interdisciplinary team members and leadership.
• Understand utilization management and support the organization's clinical review activities.
• Support the needs for the appeals and grievances process.
• Conduct charts review as necessary and peer to peer with clients to validate medical necessity.
• Be data driven and savvy with data analytics including population segmentation and developing targeted interventions.

Qualifications:
• Graduate of an accredited school of medicine.
• Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Practice.
• Board Certification or experience in Geriatric Medicine preferred.
• Residency in Internal Medicine, Family Practice, or fellowship or experience in Geriatrics.
• Minimum of three years of staff supervision experience preferred.
• Three years of experience in value-based organizations, advanced primary care, startups or managed care.
• Experience managing providers groups.
• Sensitivity to operations.
• Compassionate, relationship-based and mission driven.
• Current active and unrestricted license to practice medicine in New York State.
