Key Responsibilities
  • Assist customers with their deli needs, including preparing fresh and easy meals, and providing recommendations on products.
  • Operate a slicer, wrapping and cooking equipment, and assist in maintaining all equipment in safe working condition.
  • Perform general housekeeping in the department, including cleaning and sanitizing work areas, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
  • Assist with inventory management, including receiving and stocking products, and maintaining accurate inventory levels.
  • Work collaboratively with the deli manager and other team members to achieve department goals and objectives.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, including responding to customer inquiries and resolving customer complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; experience working in a grocery, restaurant, or related field preferred.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and team members.
  • Ability to lift and carry product weighing up to 70 pounds, and stand for up to 4 hours continuously.
  • Food safety certification required.
