The Fieldston Middle School program, serving grades 6-8, is dedicated to delivering exceptional educational experiences to over 380 students, while fostering personal development through a focus on social, emotional, and physical well-being. The core principle guiding our approach is the "culture of consideration," which informs our interactions, decision-making processes, and planning strategies. This culture shapes how we engage with one another, our environment, and our responsibilities as educators and community members.
We are in search of qualified classroom educators who are available on an as-needed basis to fulfill substitute teaching roles across core subjects and enrichment areas, including physical education, music, ethics, and the arts. Ideal candidates will possess strong classroom management abilities, a familiarity with interactive teaching methodologies, relevant experience with middle school learners, and the capacity to instruct in various academic disciplines. We value personable and enthusiastic professionals who are passionate about engaging with adolescents.
Substitutes may be required for half-day, full-day, and extended assignments throughout the academic year. We ensure that substitute teachers receive timely notifications, comprehensive lesson plans from the regular classroom teachers, administrative support, and competitive remuneration.
