We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Service Team Member at Childers Eatery. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests at special parties, banquets, and event functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with our Banquet Manager to determine objectives and requirements for events, ensuring seamless execution and guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor and observe guests' dining experiences, responding promptly and courteously to address any issues or concerns.
  • Check guests' identification to ensure compliance with age requirements for alcohol consumption.
  • Serve food and beverages to guests, preparing specialty dishes as required, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area.
  • Set up event sites with food, tableware, and linens, ensuring attention to detail and high standards.
  • Remove dishes and glasses from tables efficiently, and perform cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, and taking out trash.
  • Prepare salads, appetizers, and cold dishes, portion desserts, and brew coffee, as needed.
  • Obtain equipment and supplies necessary for each event, ensuring they meet customer expectations and requirements.
  • Inspect event rooms prior to each function to ensure setup, menu, and service staff meet expectations.
  • Ensure all details on the function sheet are performed, and breakdown and cleanup after events.
  • Account for all equipment and supplies, returning catering equipment to designated areas and arranging for the return of rented materials.
  • Be present throughout events to assist where needed, and attend all scheduled employee meetings.
  • Support fellow employees to meet guests' needs and contribute to the efficient operation of events.
  • Fulfill responsibilities as needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.

Requirements

  • Be at least 16 years old.
  • Understand and speak the predominant language(s) of our guests.
  • Have knowledge of banquet and catering services, as well as food and beverage.
  • Be able to work in a standing position for extended periods and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
