Job Summary

Providence Portland Medical Center is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team in Cardiology. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for operating imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images for patients undergoing medical procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Operate imaging equipment, such as X-ray machines and MRI scanners, to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring accurate and safe positioning.
  • Administer contrast media and other medications as required for imaging procedures.
  • Monitor patients during imaging procedures, responding to any adverse reactions or complications.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient imaging procedures and results.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
  • Current certification as a Registered Technologist (RT) in Radiography or related field.
  • 1+ year of experience as a Radiology Technologist in a hospital setting.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift and move patients as needed.
Working Conditions

This position requires working in a fast-paced hospital environment with frequent exposure to radiation. The successful candidate must be able to lift and move patients as needed and work effectively in a team-based environment.
