Financial Planning and Analysis Manager

Finatal is partnering with a reputable private equity firm to find a skilled FP&A Manager for one of their newly acquired portfolio companies. The ideal candidate will have experience in financial planning and analysis, with a strong background in accounting and finance.

Key Responsibilities:Financial Analysis and Reporting
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models to support business planning, forecasting, and cash flow projection processes.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Analyze business intelligence tool data and key performance indicators to identify trends and inform business decisions.
Financial and Cash Forecasting
  • Manage daily and weekly cash forecast models and reporting.
  • Oversee bank account balances and daily cash forecast input/output, communicating daily cash positions to the CFO and private equity owners.
  • Collaborate with AP/AR teams to ensure timely consolidation of future payment and collection information.
  • Lead monthly rolling forecast update and reporting processes.
Automation/Integration/Systems
  • Experience in making process changes to improve efficiencies and timing of manual entries using data and systems enhancements.
  • Assist with AR accounting and finance-related process improvement projects.
  • Assist in further automation of cash application/accounting processes and train employees on expanded data management and efficient Great Plains usage.
Accounting/Controls/Close/Reporting
  • Strong analytic, financial, and accounting skills, with knowledge of GAAP.
  • Month-end closing process experience, including bank reconciliations, GAAP accrual entries, intercompany transactions, and foreign currency transactions.
  • Manage monthly commission payment processes and vendor financing programs.
  • Strong cross-functional interaction with teams across accounting, operating, billing, procurement, and warehouse functions.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with a CPA and MBA preferred. Experience in a GAAP environment and working with Great Plains ERP system is also required. Additionally, experience working in a manufacturing and distribution environment, as well as with foreign entities and foreign currency transactions, is preferred.

The ideal candidate will also possess strong team skills, effective communication skills, and knowledge of Microsoft Office products, with a strong focus on Excel. A positive attitude toward individual, team, and company goals, working effectively in a no-ego environment, is also essential.
