Medical Assistant II-Dermatology Specialist

The Medical Assistant II-Dermatology Specialist provides clinical office support to physicians and surgeons, delivering high-quality patient care and administrative duties. This role requires a strong focus on patient care, including basic rooming, EKGs, point-of-care testing, and EPIC documentation.
Responsibilities:- Fulfills patient care responsibilities, including performing venipuncture and EKGs, checking schedules, and organizing patient flow.
- Assists physicians with various procedures, takes vital signs, and relays instructions to patients and families.
- Fulfills clerical responsibilities, including sending and receiving patient medical records, obtaining lab/x-ray reports, and managing charts.
- Enters orders into the electronic medical record EPIC system or prepares prescription refill requests on behalf of the physician.
- Provides set-up of examination rooms and instruments or equipment, adhering to proper sterilization techniques.
- Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures.
- High School Diploma/GED with completion of an approved Medical Assistant certificate course of study.
- Medical Assistant certificate from an approved school.
- 2+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist.
BCLS certification Required Issuing Authority: AHA or Red Cross
