UChicago Medicine Ingalls Memorial is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Critical Care team. As a Registered Nurse in our ICU, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.
Job Summary:We are looking for a compassionate and detail-oriented Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in our Critical Care unit. The ideal candidate will have experience working in an ICU setting and possess excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities:- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to assess, design, coordinate, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
- Provide direct nursing care to patients, including administering medications, performing procedures, and monitoring vital signs.
- Delegate tasks to other members of the care team as appropriate.
- Monitor patient outcomes and make adjustments to care plans as needed.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with an associate's degree in nursing or higher.
- Current RN licensure in the State of Illinois or valid temporary permit to practice nursing in the State of Illinois.
- Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- At least 5 years of experience providing nursing care to patients in an acute care setting.
- Completion of basic ECG class within one year of employment.
- Completion of critical care course within one year of employment or current CCRN certification.
- Completion of ACLS program within one year of employment and maintenance of certification.
