Psychiatrist - Inpatient Unit

We are seeking a highly skilled Psychiatrist to join our team at Ramapo Ridge. As a Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing professional care to our patients, maintaining the highest standards of quality and professionalism.

• Provide psychiatric care to patients in the inpatient unit, incorporating Christian principles into treatment modalities as appropriate.
• Communicate effectively with the treatment team to ensure seamless care.
• Follow hospital policies and procedures, as well as the Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of the medical staff.
• Prepare and update treatment plans in a timely manner.
• Attend commitment hearings as required.
• Monitor and reassess psychiatric status of patients.
• Perform admission history and chair treatment team meetings.
• Document all care provided in compliance with regulations and standards.
• Screen and admit patients to the hospital.
• Provide psychotherapy to assigned patients as needed.
• Attend medical staff meetings and dictate discharge summaries in a timely manner.
• Provide coverage as assigned and serve as on-call Psychiatrist for the hospital.
• Supervise clinical staff as assigned or necessary.

• Graduate of a Medical School approved by the Council on Medical Education and Hospitals of the American Medical Association.
• Successful completion of Residency Training in General Psychiatry.
• Licensed to practice medicine in the State of New Jersey.
• Minimum one year experience as a staff psychiatrist preferred.
