Join Our Team as a Logistics Operations Analyst
Russell Tobin & Associates is partnering with a leading global Manufacturing and Automotive firm to find a Logistics Operations Analyst for a remote position.
Employment Type: Contract/Remote
Compensation: $22- $25/hr, based on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide logistical support to U.S. Distribution Centers and Manufacturing sites, addressing operational challenges.
- Identify and execute strategies to enhance cost efficiency, service quality, and overall performance in alignment with Manufacturing & Supply Chain objectives.
- Conduct analysis on cost and service implications resulting from changes in suppliers and order flow dynamics.
- Assist in ERP system implementations by engaging in testing phases and training sessions.
- Develop expertise in SAP-TM, pinpointing areas for improvement through system enhancements or process modifications.
- Manage requests via phone or email to secure transportation capacity for shipments within the U.S. and across borders into Canada and Mexico.
- Coordinate capacity for urgent shipments and oversee the shipment lifecycle from dispatch to delivery.
- Create and share performance scorecards for carriers.
- Deliver training to transportation providers on the utilization of the dispatch system.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher is required.
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in the transportation sector, whether in private, public, governmental, or military settings.
- At least one (1) year of experience in booking shipments across various modes including Full Truckload, Less-Than-Truckload, Intermodal, Bulk, and Expedited services.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with SAP or ERP systems and TMS order management.
- Proficiency in analytical tools such as Excel and Access.
