About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Fleet Technician II to join our team at Sysco. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential issues and recommend repairs or maintenance as needed.
  • Diagnose and repair complex problems with diesel engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems.
  • Work with other team members to ensure that all vehicles are properly maintained and repaired in a timely manner.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and techniques in diesel engine repair and maintenance.
Requirements
  • 2-year school and 1 year of experience or 3 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair.
  • Current and valid driver's license.
  • Annual Inspector Certification, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities.
  • Brake Inspector Certification, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities.
  • ASE certifications; Automotive or Medium/Heavy Duty Trucks (Preferred, Not Required).
  • 609 HVAC Certification.
Working Conditions

The Diesel Fleet Technician II will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines and changing priorities. The position requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
